Our ATSG 4L60-E TechTran Manual contains procedures necessary to diagnose, overhaul and/or repair the 4L60-E transmission from General Motors.
The GM 4L60-E began in 1993 with medium duty trucks. It was then placed in passenger cars in 1994, with 2015 being its last year of production. This TechTran Manuals serves as the complete overhaul instructions of the 4L60-E with all the needed specifications and sub-component rebuild procedures. Included are assembly, dis-assembly, diagnosis, troubleshooting, and electronic controls and operations. Note: There have been many engineering changes to this transmission since its introduction. The Green Update Manual provides the many changes that took place throughout these years. Changes made to the case, the pump and the addition of the Input Shaft Speed Sensor are some of what can be found in this manual: "Update Handbook" which we highly recommend alongside the TechTran Manual for a proper overhaul or repair.
